its not really as competitive as .net, skill cap seems to be a bit lower, but that isnt to say there isnt skilled people on each world

The skill level is lower but with w13 being so small, all of the skilled players are close to each other so it's almost like .net.

The worlds are smaller but there is some really good skills out there in the worlds. Like most worlds there is good players, cocky players, players that will do anything to win and the loyal ones. Jesse and the mods are very fair here I have found and they always try to listen to the members about future settings and how worlds should end. You could say that the server here is shaped by the players as the mods listen to what members have to say.

A world is obviously what you make it and most are enjoyable. Looks like w13 is going to be set to be a good world if it stays as it is. I look forward to seeing how this one goes although I am not playing in it I like to see what is going on as I am nosey :)

Never assume! All servers have their own rules and culture although some of the mods are active on more than one server.
The mods are a bit more strict than on net and nl, and they are the fastest responding of all the TW-servers.

As the server is smaller more players know each other. Players are located worldwide although those in the asian timezone are still underrepresented.
People saying that the net has a higher quality in players are not quite correct. Over the years the top of other servers have come here and said they would show how its done and ruel the world they were going to join with a pre-made. So far they all failed and left silently, sometimes leaving a few single players joining other tribes.
Anyway have fun playing here.

Well if you were to take the top 20 on a .net world and pit them against the top 20 on a .us world, my money would be on the .net players every time. However you could argue that this is because .net has a lot more players - and I would agree. But overall I would still consider .net to have a better quality of players.

Ya I played on w28 on the .net version and it is very different from .us when it comes to the general skill level of most players. I don't feel that we have worse players though just not as many of them as a .net would.

I come from .net, and world 12 was my first world on this server. When I play .net I am usually top 5, sometimes top 3 or rank 1, and then quit later...

Started on world 12 here one month late and it has been pretty fun, although, yes the quality of players is lower, the worlds are smaller so it means more competition. There are definitely some good players here, and people seem to know each other so this will be a fun server. Couldn't play this world, becuase I am leading a tribe, but will probably be playing world 14 or 15. Good Luck!

Almost like .net? I would certainly have to disagree.

I would have to agree with Sweeney. The player quality on .net is at large better then US server. Largely because of the number of players though. So even though the top 20 players from .net would likely crush the top 20 players from US server. Because .net has so many players who join each world (roughly 40,000 a world) if the world only has lets say 100 decent players then it has over 39,900 average or worse players. So I would have to say the player quality is much better on .net but both servers are different and get difficult at different times.

In my opinion start up for US is harder for start up on .net. Reason being if there are only 35 decent players on US server they tend to start up close to each other and take each other out early. Leaving for an easier late game with less talent.

When in .net there are so many players that decent players tend to not meet each other till 10-15 villages into the world or more. Then good player's won't meet each other till 100+ villages into the world. Leaving for a much harder late game then early game.

Both servers have their benefits though.

I think it is alot diff from .net.Now I understand a bit better. been lost for a bit.play on pc and it does not work the way it used to.

@ art of war
you are totally rite they start up fast.also people here seem to think a restart is a part of the game.and team does not help to save their team mems.Team play seems to be lacking here.Point whores seem to be abundant.if the group I'm working with listen to me I don't see a prob. with long term survival.

Well if one thing can be said about .us, it's that its forums are very inactive.

Inactive compared to .net but you also have to think that .net has way more active players. I think the forums, are pretty active here considering how many active players the US has.

How many players does it have?
And I normally play nl, which I find to be more acive on forums than net, so that's probably why.

I mean here a day can fly by without a new post in the latest world..
Guess the us community hasn't found out yet that Politics & Propaganda can be very useful :p

I would say simply that winning a world is more of a reality taking only a year or 2 instead of 4 or 5 years.

Must speak english in us forums

more likely to get caught if you are cheating (less players to filter)

im from .net myself I find the smaller teams allowed here seem to cause competitiveness

and every world is unique

you have worlds like w6 full of backstabbing and lasting forever, w7 and w8 closed at record speeds

So you us is a place were you do not really know what will happen when you join that world
