Classic world: future, ideas and settings

Hey all,

Maybe you have heared rumours already, but we are trying to get a classic world (or "high performance as it is called on .net) to the american server. Whether this will be a reality or not, will depend on Innogames (and maybe a slight bit on @kawoni depending on how hard she tries ;)) but if we show how interested we are over here, the chances might increase!

Classic worlds have been running on other servers for a while now, and its always a great success because of the fast pace of the world, the interesting settings and the (on average) high skill level that those classic servers bring. Besides that, its also a place were people can prove themselves without a huge bag of money, since premium features are inactive on classic worlds.

Usually the community can decide the settings, but since its not even sure if we ger a classic world, we can not decide yet... but ofcourse we can brainstorm about the settings!

Here I have a template with the settings that need to be filled in:

Events limited to max 1 every 4 weeks and no event for the first 8 weeks.


I think these settings would be more than reasonable for inno to make a profit and also keep the players happy.

I would definitely be interested, depending on the settings

What I would find most interesting is a 2 speed world with unlimited farming. Preferably with no events, or a very limited amount.

The other settings I’m not really that concerned with.

What I think could be brought to the classic world is the start up quests and possibly integrate the new noble system so I don’t have to blow the dust off my t-train.

- Tribelock: Activated (once a tribe holds 20% dominance) (if activated define a dominance percentage at which point it will be activated)

- Outside tribe support: Deactivated, sending support 48h after joining tribe, support withdrawn when leaving tribe
- Flags: Deactivated

This would be my suggestion (or at least one of my suggestions ^^)
Added some extra stuff that was missing in the list (outside tribe support and loyalty drop per noble)

They could add a register fee or significantly increase the PA/AM/LA cost, a huge amount of old players and players from multiple servers would come. But they won't do it. This company has this tradition of ignoring the user's wishes, they will ignore any attempt from our part to actually make the game better while maintaining their profit. I'll still give you my 3 minutes to try and change it, but I'm not putting much hope into it.

I would suggest it be more classic/high performance. With unit speed quite a lot slower than building it’s gonna become a pit whoring contest at the beginning so I reckon unit speed 1.

I’d would also prefer barbs to grow a little higher than 200 points. 1000 maybe? For solo accounts it’s gonna be a nightmare sitting trying to farm players all day. Essentially these settings play into the hands of lame accounts with 6 players on them as it’ll be high maintenance.

Speed - x2 - everyone can handle this. Speed 4 is very much masters and newer players will be left behind so fast.

I can understand all your arguments :) But I still need to go into all of them to explain my reasoning ;)

- The unit speed is still really high as it is 0,5 compared to the building speed, but if you look closer you see "200%" behind it which means that it will have unit speed 2 instead of 1. From what I know is that most of these classic/high performance worlds have a high speed (at least 3, but often 4/5) that is part of how these worlds are special compared to normal worlds

- The barbs is indeed a hard thing, but with those specific settings I suggested I thought that low barbs would be nice to prevent people from nobling them... I prefer low tribe limit, low dominance % classics and then you want to prevent people from nobling too many barbs... but its still a good point since I forgot to think about the farming. 6-people accounts will always have the advantage though unless we choose limited/no haul :)

- About the speed, classic/high performance worlds are meant for more experienced players. New players are more than welcome ofcourse, but I know that when they announce classic worlds they even mention that its for the more experienced players :)

But thanks for thinking with us, and with the settings you propose I would also be really happy :p

No prem exchange or events.
5 tribe member limit.
Tribes locked after 10 days.
No outside tribe support, no shared forums and no shared noble planner allowed.

I agree i do like small tribes can we keep it under 20 at least as it seems if its any larger than that the same 20+ people are winning each world or the same 2/3 groups of 20 just rotate worlds and keep winning them. At least with smaller tribes we would have to compete more.
