I have no problem telling people I'm new to any individual game since, if they're going to be helpful, they will be more forthcoming with good advice. If they're going to be conquering attackers looking for an easy mark, I'll just learn that aspect of game play faster. So farming (I'm assuming the barbs), upgrades and recruitment. Gotcha. The guy I am trying to get back as mentor suggested, as a Rule of Thumb, to have as many troops as I do points ... just as a way to keep track and all things are relative. I'm ... working on it. I tend to be more defensive to start out, as I'm still figuring the rule set and common practice as opposed to rules - they are different .... But I'll get there.

Farming? Both barbs and players.
More defensive? Just don't mix defensive and offense troops in the same village, would highly recommend you stick to one for each village.

And so the quality and quantity of the advice to the new kid descends into playground shoving and pushing for status. Gotcha.

Are we all agreed that I should be focused on upgrading and farming? Yes?
Are we all agreed that I should be building troops like there's no tomorrow? Yes?
Good. That's been my strategy since I started on Friday (Dec 23), and I will continue until someone takes my cute little village. (It's soooo cute!)
Bah. Pixels and imaginary people. No worries.

Excuse me. Yep, Golden Gryphon, here and all over the internet. I try a few different games, and have a slightly active Steam account. A general search turns up strange things.
I'll take that as a compliment (Thank you ...) and not as a vaguely sexual reference. (Hey Baby, ya wanna come over and 'noble'? nudge, nudge) Nope.

They (the worlds) seem to be like potato chips, you can't have just one and it's really hard to quit as long as the bag is still open.
I understand - 5 cities in Elvenar because I was bored and it seemed to be a "thing to do". Now I have Fellowships that are counting on me to pull my weight .... <sigh>
At least I'm here and can do something constructive with my time. (Ha!)
