When a village with a watchtower is conquered, does the watchtower remain?

It should remain, as it is a normal building unless it has been demolished.

I honestly dont like the way you have the watchtower set up. If you want to upgrade you cant do anything else to your village until the resources it needs build up then it lets you upgrade. That takes all the fun out of the whole game.

Can watchtowers see attacks on villages that are not your own, say the village right next to it which you do not own?
