i have a cat nuke. i replace the rams with cats. doesnt effect nuke strength. i use it on villages that have already been hit with rams. works well as a church buster too, havent got to do that yet, but soon.

wow i feel kinda different... i dont do any of them...

i have:
8.5k axe
2.5k-2.8klc
100 MA
200-250 rams
10 scouts
40 cats
(i do have variations of this)

The main reason 8500 axes is ineffective is because they DRAMATICALLY slow down your nukes' build times.

it depends sometimes ill have more LC and sometimes more MA but i dunno i just quite like having lots of axe :p

I just did some calcs, and this is the nuke build I'll be using for a bit

7113 axe
2700 lc

250 rams
100 scouts (need for farming)

Certainly open for interpretation, but build I usually go with is:

100 scouts
6159 axes
3327 lc
213 rams

builds in 350:59:17

On an archer world I would change it to:

100 scouts
6191 axes
100 mounted archers
3194 lc
213 rams

builds in: 352:45:18


To compare to the build time of other nukes listed:

Smash's builds in: 405:07:21
MOLOCO's builds in 355:10:22
ukftw's builds in 484:07:10

Also more rams is often wise late-game, but 213 is the mathematical ideal number for hitting most villages (more can help on massively stacked villages).

In the first sim, almost the exact same number of troops are lost by the defender, and my nuke still lowered the wall 3 extra levels. In the second sim, around 100 extra troops were killed by Nauz's nuke, but the wall was lowered an extra wall by mine. Combine that with the 10 hour faster build time and the fact that if we continued the second sim 'til the village was cleared, a few more troops in my nukes would be saved on an overall scale (thereby saving more resources/build time), I think we can see that mine is a bit more effective :). While Nauz's builds quick, 213 is only ideal for lowering a wall to 0 in an empty village, and doesn't work against stacks. It doesn't even have to be a massive stack, but bringing out a wall buster on a 10k/10k village is a waste if you can't get it done with regular nukes.

You can argue that yours is more effective I suppose, but definitely not by much, and even to say it's more effective at all is debatable (yours is less effective vs. 10k/10k, but more effective vs. 10k/10k/10k, but mine saves more troops vs. the 10k/10k compared to yours than yours does compared to mine vs. the 10k/10k/10k).

Basically the determining factor is this:

Yours results in 422 less pop vs. 10k/10k and 220 pop more vs. 10k/10k/10k. As such if less than 2/3 of the nukes you hit are of the 10k/10k/10k variety mine is the better fit, but if more than 2/3 are of that variety then yours is the better fit.

We also use slightly different village builds, mine doesn't actually fit in your village I'm assuming since yours is less pop (not much less though, the difference is a measly 9 pop).

Package worlds: Level 2 academy instead of level 1 (level 3 actually in first few villages, but later demoed back to level 2): 9318 points
None-morale worlds: 30 warehouse 9716 points
non-morale and packages: 9818 points
