This start up guide was made by a 3+ speed specialist but should be effective and easy to use on all worlds regardless of speed

Remember to keep Axemen Light cavalry and Rams constant

On a fast world activity is the most important of all "24/7 is the most effective there is"
as long as you are active then you should potentianly do well

Farming early game is extremley important of all
"This farming wll work the most effective"
Between 1 and 150 light cavalry " send 1 to each barb"
Between 151 and 350 light cavalry "send 2 to each barb"
Between 351 and 1000 light cavalry "send 4 to each barb"
When you have over 1000 light cavalry "send between 6 and 10 to each barb"
That depends on if you are coming back with full hauls or not
the best way to find out is to reguarly send your scouts out to find how many resources are avaliable

Nobling early world doesnt have the benefits that some may think
nobling to early can seriously hinder someones growth
nobody should aim to noble before having atleast 4000 axemen 2500 light cavalry and 250 rams
and you should always aim to noble when you have a full train
this wll avoid giving your opponent a very easy target to back time

In order to avoid having your train sniped it is always best if you know about the person you are targeting
this can be done by scouting or personally seeing them play in the past
i would use 300 axes 250 lc escorts minimum and more if they are very good snipers

That's what will work most effective? 6 lc at a time when you have 1,000 lc? That's horribly inefficient. Barbs are not going to get 480 resources in them between people hitting them. When you reach 1,000 lc most barbs around you will still be under 100 points, with level 2-4 mines.

Level 3 mines are 41 res per hour. 41*3=123

That'd be roughly 4 hours of resource production, there's no way people around you are going 4 hours between attacks on the barbs near you.

I'm playing startup right now on a world. I have 1258 lc, I'm still sending 1 at a time most of the time.

Looter of the day
Plunder the most resources in this world.

57.217

Plunderer of the day
Plunder the most villages in this world.

623

that's what my farming looks like at 3:41 ST. That's on pace for 372,816 resources and 4,059 plunders for the day.

I have 974 attacks out right now. Farming like I am will win you looter of the day. Farming the way outlined above will make you top 100 or so on a world.

This is also nonsense. Noble rushing is THE best startup strategy, bar none.

The goal isn't to have as many troops as possible in your first village. The goal is to have as many troops as possible on your account. The earlier you begin nobling the earlier you can begin producing troops in multiple villages.

A level 8 stable makes lc half as fast as a level 20 stable. A level 13 barracks makes troops half as fast as a level 25 barracks. The couple extra levels someone might have over me on their barracks and stable while I noble rush won't even come close to making them more troops than my additional villages will be making.

By the time you have 15,650 troop pop as is suggested here I could have 5 villages.

Noble rushing has allowed me to double rank 2 on world on multiple occasions.

Most recently was this .net world where I played as Richard Pryor:

Rank Name Tribe Points Villages Average points per village
1 Richard Pryor Nope 10.299 4 2575
2 Feel the Rhythm 5.045 1 5045
3 Pablo Francisco Nope 4.520 1 4520
4 eLeMeNOhPi RULEZ 4.449 1 4449
5 tOt eu12 CK 4.423 1 4423
6 indecisive. -?- 4.278 1 4278
7 C0nfuzzled 4.113 1 4113
8 Blo0DAngel Nope 3.828 1 3828
9 Lord Ingus CK 3.809 1 3809
10 playing tw 3.764 1 3764

No one's convincing me that a startup strategy that allows me to reach 10,000 points before anyone else reaches 5,000 and to have 4 villages averaging 2500+ points before anyone else has nobled is a mistake.

That's not the only time noble rushing has paid off in spades for me either. uk6 I noble rushed and rimmed/helped rim (co-trained with tribemate, I took rank 1's village, he took rank 2's) rank 1 and 2 as the worlds first two conquers. I was rank 3 before nobling them because I got passed by them during my smithy rush.

There's no question, a proper noble rush puts every other startup strategy to shame by leaps and bounds.

People argue that noble rushing is only good when you have good targets. This is nonsense.

Lets say the best targets near me are 1,000 points if I noble rush.

What's better, wait for them to reach 3,000 points and then noble them, or noble them when they're 1,000 points, and build it to 6,000 points as well as make 10,000 troops in the village in the time its original owner would have reached 3,000 points? The answer is obvious. A bad noble targets is always a bad noble target, as time goes by it becomes a worse and worse target. The earlier you noble it and make it grow at an accelerated rate (ie. your rate of growth rather than theirs) the better. It also gives you more time to make troops in the village.

And yes, it's realistic that I can build a village to 6k faster than they'd build it to 3k if it was only 1k by the time I had nobles.

250 rams is also a waste of population at startup. You only need 213 + however many you need for fakes.

The order of the buildings themselves are also awful. Sorry, can't bite my tongue and let new players read this garbage and follow it as if it were good advice.

Nobling with level 10 timber and clay is awful advice.

Yes, farming > mines.

That's akin to saying A>B. It does nothing to change that A+B>A.

Not to mention if you hit a stack, get backtimed, get hit offline, etc. with such low mines you're screwed, you will not be able to hold constant qeues off your mines alone to ease your rebuild.

The guide also suggests raising barracks and stable after you've began your academy rush. This is horrible advice- you pick what barracks and stable level you want before academy and you raise to those levels as early as possible. Reaching 30 farm before academy, and having 20 stable and 23 barracks before academy is also horrible, you're stunting the growth of your account by a week or more. I am not exaggerating to say I could reach 10 villages before someone following this guide would have their academy. There's also no reason to build your workshop that high, level 2 is plenty.

This guide shouldn't be stickied, it's riddled with inaccuracies and just outright bad advice.

If there's a need for a startup guide that's stickied I can write one, that will be significantly better than this, and won't mislead people into making horrible errors that will screw them over.

please do so then. I am a newbie as far as game knowledge goes and give up farming barbs since 99.9999% of the time they are either emptied out by more active players than me or sending 1-2 LC for a haul of at best 30-50 resources( total not of each resource) so since I go defensive as first village I end up just waiting for my mines while building troops 20/7( yeah i didnt say 24/7 because I try saving resources to increase buildings as well)

I wrote one a few hour after my response in this thread.

With Speed you are much less punished for getting levels up higher. With speed you have to be sending so many lc because if you did only send 1 lc to each village 1) barbs grow at a 3+ speed while normally unit speed is decreased so by the time you hit so many lc the barbs have a wall that will kill the lc and 2) its impossible to send that many attacks as the worlds are smaller and in the time that it takes to send that many attacks is much too long and the attakc would probably be back before you finished anyway. Thanks for the guide Nauzhror, and thank you for trying to hep new players artorius.
