W10 scouts

When you try to scout a player in W10 with one scout you get the 'You have to send at least 5 scouts' message. W10 config file has the <spy>10</spy> setting like W9 where only one scout is needed to scout a village. Also the settings page of W10 says
"Scout system: The scout can display enemy units, buildings and resources."
same as W9.
So, which one is it? We need at least 5 or 1 scout against a player? And where in the settings can we see this?

The issue you are facing originates in the fake limit setting.
You have to attack with a certain percentage of your total troops as long as it is against a player village.

Then the message would be 'The attacking force has to consist of at least X villagers.'
The fake limit does not apply when attacking just with scouts.

sleepyface as a mod at the norwegian servers, i think he knows what he is talking about.. what you call it, doesn't matter, it is still under the fake limit setting..

W5 had a fake limit and it didn't affect the scouts.
On the other hand the math doesn't add up. 1% fake limit of a 350 pt village is 3.5 villagers, so 2 scouts not 5.

It's the scout setting in the get_config file not the fake limit. So your going to need 5 to scout the player

That's what I thought, but W9 has the same scout setting (<spy>10</spy>)and it needs one scout for players. So something else must affect this and I'm trying to find out what.

It isn't the scout setting.

I'm doing some investigating on why, and will let you guys know shortly.

As long as you sent some other troops with him, you're able to use only a single scout on players, so I still suspect the farm-limit.

Youalways have to send 5 scouts minimum on players unless you also send other troops with one scout.It's always been like this,you can only send 1 scout alone against barbs,.
