W64 suggestions

Let's start a W64 settings suggestions now so we can discuss them before the world open.
What kinds of settings would you like to see?
Speed?
Unit speed?
World ending? Dom or ? Runes or Seige?
Tribe limit?

And any other settings you may want.

I really enjoy the increased barbs as it spreads players out a bit more and makes the world a little larger like it used to be. Also we just had a church and a stronghold world so I think it would be nice to have a regular world and definitely much faster than the speed 1 we have on 62. I will never play a speed 1 world again. Way too slow.

It would be perfect if it comes with more or less these features.
There will never be night bonus on .us. There should be, but .us has more europeans than americans and the US has 3 timezones, so it's kinda like .net's little brother. If there were more americans here, it could be an option, but I really don't see this happening anytime soon on this server.

My suggestion:
Speed 1.5
Unit speed 0.75
Pits buffed 50%
Barbs: W63 is awesome in terms of barbs, it should be standard on .us and other small servers. Same barb configuration as w63.
No watchtower
Fake limit 1-2%
Tribe limit 10, with lock after 60 days
No support outside the tribe

Dase is correct for the most part, there probably will never be a night bonus but we could make a server wide vote on it and try it maybe once to see what happens. but I doubt it. We just can not decide what time we will use in the US so we have a bunch of zones and others that do not change for daylight savings time. So, finding a ZONE for night bonus that fits the collective amount is kinda hard.

There are 9 time zones by law in the USA and its dependencies. However, adding the time zones of 2 uninhabited US territories, Howland Island and Baker Island, brings the total count to 11 time zones.

The contiguous US has 4 standard time zones. In addition, Alaska, Hawaii, and 5 US dependencies all have their own time zones. As neither Hawaii nor the 5 dependencies use Daylight Saving Time (DST), there are only 6 corresponding DST time zones.

It's a small server, ya'll could test it to see how it goes and maybe apply this to some .net worlds. What I mean by individual night bonus is similar to sleepmode on long speed rounds. Basically, each player can set when their night bonus should be active and to avoid abusing this option, you can't change it more than once a month and it takes effect 72 hours after you've set it. That would be great for solo players, coplaying really kills the game imo.

You could also display the night bonus timeframe on the player's profile and also the classic warning when you launch an attack and it lands during night bonus.

There are .net worlds that already have night bonus and all those things you mentioned Dase. Tournament for example has dynamic night bonus where players can chose their own night bonus time and can even change it on their own.

Casual 13 has also night bonus active.

Don't remember at the moment if normal worlds have night bonus active tho.

Thanks for listening to our suggestions.

I'm cool with all the settings, but many of us haven't seen a 2.0 world speed. As you are aware a 2.0 world speed is typical in the .net servers and they are really fun. And as Standby said 1.0 worlds are extremely boring - that's why we have casual worlds but 70% of the people quit after the first week (lol). Let's shoot for 2.0 and not a 1.7, 1.75, or 1.85 world speed. We can adjust after that depending on how that world goes.

Aside from that, thank you again for listening to our suggestions and giving us an increased number of barbs in these recent worlds. Everyone is loving them :).

That would be an awesome idea, but not very practical when you have to many individuals with so many random night bonuses. I just do not see it as possible. However, I will pass the idea onto the Devs to see what they think.

I do not believe that normal worlds for .net have night bonus. I know UK does.

You are welcome.

We can try and pull some 2.0 worlds. And 1.0 worlds are slower and some players also like that as boring as they may. Thank you for the kind words appreciate it.
We are happier with the increase in the Barb/bonus for you the players also, It needed to happen for sure.

Yeah I remember ages ago I played a world on UK server. It had nightbonus active, at least on the world I played (uk8). Not the fancy new one, where players can chose their own night bonus time, but the older version where nightbonus is same for all players.

Everyone timed their trains to land as near as possible to 23:59:59. Fun times.

Nice, shouldn't have missed the tournament I guess. If the option already exists on .net, it could be implemented on .us too. I assume they added the bonus to make the tournament more competitive and not let accs with 10 players take a lead so easy. If it works in the tournament, it can work in normal worlds as well. It might work even better, because in tournaments more accounts are coplayed anyway, since it's much more competitive. I don't think we've had a world without watchtowers in a while, most new ones have it. Maybe switch it up every couple worlds, dynamic night bonus instead of watchtower. Change a defensive aspect for another, instead of just removing the watchtower in some worlds.

Thank you for that idea, We will ask about it and see what the powers at be say, swapping one defensives aspect for another. The only thing they can do is say No. Correct?

I haven't seen anyone say they love the 1.0 world speed. It is painfully slow right now on 62 and I for sure won't play anything this slow again.

Also night bonus is not something I would want to play with on .us. If there was somehow night bonus on .us I would want to see it paired with a faster unit speed.
