Why do troops continue to build after I CAT the barracks

I've catted down the Barracks of a player to 0 and yet his troops still seem to appear - How ? Is this a bug? The player is inactive in the sense that the barracks don't appear on the next farm/scout report but the troops do!

There are a few possible answers as to where the troops are coming from without it being a bug, even if you know from TW stats that the player is completely inactive himself and has not logged in for days.

Here are a couple of possibilities.

1) Though there is no longer a barracks, any troops that were que'd before it was demolished will still continue to build until those currently que'd are finished.

If he had a long inactive period before his last log in he may well have had the resources available to queue large no.'s that will continue for days or even weeks depending on the size of his farm and barracks when you catted it.

The troops will also continue and complete any troops que'd even if you demolish the farm as well. These are not bugs and just the way the game mechanics have been set up to work.

2) The opponent you have selected doesn't need to be good or even on line if he is a member of a decent tribe or has friends he can rely on. Many players will station a few troops in friends village once they know he is inactive for a while, simply so they know when that friend has been attacked, in this case by you. They will then receive a report of the troop loses and they then send further support to protect that person you have chosen to attack.

I doubt very much that you have found a bug and there are also other possibilities for finding troops where you don't expect them but if you still suspect it is and can rule all of these out you can send in a support ticket.
You won't be given any information regarding your opponent but you will be able to rest easier knowing that you are facing a fair fight.

GL, hope this helps.

Also, he might be getting farmed by a few players and dodging all possible attacks, so he can't actually build in his village, but still has troops bouncing in and out. Happens alot.

Troops in the queue will continue to build at a very slow rate even after the barracks, stables, or workshop have been destroyed. Just as resources are provided at a very slow rate after the resource pits are destroyed.

The troops could also be somebody sending support to your farms in a tactic known as spiking.
