do the effects of the rewards stack
like if i have a 15% LC and AXE item and a 5% LC and AXE item and use them both will i get the 20% or just one of them?

Items will stack as long as they are NOT the same type or name.
The answer to your question above is no you can not use those 2 boosters together.

I did not dump any money into this, and I was able to come up with 15k Medals with limited time playing due to being on vacation throughout most of it with no co-player.
15k medals is enough to buy any of the rewards 3+ times depending on the reward. So I respectfully disagree. It is helpful to every player as long as you sign on once a day and use up the 16 Mercenaries given.
