I'd go with a similar colour scheme to .net since that is what most people will be used to.

MY SUGGESTION:

Adminastrators/Community Managers
Elder Moderators/Super Moderators
Forum Moderators
In Game Staff
Blog Staff (for the future anyways)
Senior In Game Staff

+1 Best suggestion

My suggestions/preferance

Community Manager
Administrators
InnoGames Staff
Elder Moderators
Moderators
Senior In-Game
In-Game

These are the fundamental groups of moderating both in game and on the forums. A personal preference of mine is a definition between Community Manager and Admin's - that's not a necessity, just a personal choice. Elder moderators replace the default vBulletin "Super Moderator". At this stage the blog is a long way away and the wiki is barely used any more (.net recently removed their wiki admin for this reason), therefore, adding in colours for them at this time is pointless.

However, personally I find colours for staff to be practical and aesthetically pleasing, it makes it easy for a user to find staff members. As for banned suggestions, I don't agree with singling them out or "glorying" them for their offences. The word "banned" or "blocked" under their name is sufficient.

Good idea, but I'd change Senior inGame with Moderators.

If you look, groups of similar roles have similar colours involved. For example, in-game moderators I have put as different shades of green and forum moderators as orange/red. Just another personal preference that links groups together.

Okay.
Yh, how I said, it's okay, but I wouldn't take red as color for Moderator.

Updated to include other staff members:

Community Manager
Administrators
InnoGames Staff
Elder Moderators
Moderators
Senior In-Game
In-Game
Specialist Staff Assistants

These would be the sub groups for forum leaders and the visible groups.

I'm sorry I write again in this thread although it is old, but I got to :s
So, what I'd suggest is to make the I-G Staff invisible.
Think'd be better.

I think that was his thinking, as In-Game are not really forum leaders

I don't agree with you. They've to be marked as Team members, because that's what they are.

I agree they are team leaders/members, but it states " View Forum Leaders" but i am not sure how much power the In-Game staff have in the forums

They have the "power" to see the staff internals forum.
I think they should have a color.
