Defense - How Many Nukes Does My Stack Kill?

The table below tells you how many nukes you can expect to kill with your stacked village:

Stack WD WG NTC
10/10 1 2 2
20/20 1 3 4
30/30 1 5 6
40/40 1 7 9
50/50 1 9 12
60/60 1 11 15
70/70 4 14 19
80/80 9 19 23
90/90 14 24 29
100/100 19 30 35

* WD stands for "Wall Down", and indicates how many nukes you can eat without losing a wall level.
* WG stands for "Wall Gone", and indicates how many nukes you can eat without losing your entire wall.
* NTC stands for "Needed To Clear", and indicates how many nukes are necessary to kill the village.

For example, suppose your village has an 80/80 stack. This means that the enemy knocks your wall down from level 20 with the 9th nuke, the wall is gone after the 19th nuke, and it takes 23 nukes to clear the village completely.

If you use HC-based defense, the math gets a bit more complicated. A good rule of thumb is that one standard village (10K spears, 1250 HC) is worth about 70% of a normal def village.

Stack WD WG NTC
10/0/1.25 1 2 2
20/0/2.5 1 2 3
30/0/3.75 1 3 4
40/0/5 1 5 6
50/0/6.25 1 6 8
60/0/7.5 1 8 10
70/0/8.75 1 9 12
80/0/10 1 10 14
90/0/11.25 2 12 16
100/0/12.5 5 15 19

Offense - how many troops are left in that village?

When attacking a stacked village, your troops will often die without telling you exactly what's left in the village. However, there is one bit of important information in the report anyway: how far the wall was knocked down.

The table below will tell you how many troops can be left in the village if you knocked the wall from 20 to X:

X Max Min
19 61/61 28/28
18 27/27 18/18
17 17/17 14/14
16 12.5/12.5 10.5/10.5
15 10/10 8/8
14 7.5/7.5 6.5/6.5
13 6.5/6.5 6/6

For example, if your nuke died but knocked the wall down from 20 to 18, that means your target has between 18/18 and 27/27 left.

Keep in mind, this guide is solely based on classic units (no archers/mounted archers/paladins), and is simply a rough guide, but is effective in giving a good idea of where you stand.

It is slightly useful for players who can't use simulator.
However, it doesn't take in to consideration the type of stack used. Which varies from player to player.
It also doesn't take in to consideration the type of nuke used. Which again varies from player to player.
I'm just posting this comment to make people aware not to follow it blindly, especially given (10K spears, 1250 HC) - in most worlds I have played, the standard appears to be 8k spear 2k hc (roughly). I have rarely seen, from startup to 8million (my largest current account), a player who has gone 10k sp 1250 hc.

My thoughts exactly

some people also dont do that defense e.g. may use 7k spear 7k archer 7k sword... (or maybe a bit less depending on how much farm space) so this could change the nuke completely as you would need MA (the post also varies depending on the settings e.g. if there are archers, militia, palidin weapons ect)

Which backs up my point entirely. This thread is useful as a *VERY* rough basic idea. However, unless you use the simulator/ edit it to fit your own nukes and your opponent's defense (if you even ignore the fact that his tribemates could all use different defensive set-ups too, and be supporting him - so a really basic idea even here) this is pretty much useless, imho.

Let me quote my post for you both:

Yes, I'm aware that it's only a rough idea, and it says so in there :D. Regardless, the guide is extremely useful, as you both have agreed :p.
