Okay so Haswell Processor and GTX 700 Series Graphics Cards are out.

Currently I bought the ASUS ROG G55VW 15.6" Gaming Laptop with
3rd gen intel i7, gtx 660m, etc.. for 1149.99

and the msi ge70 17.3" laptop has the 4th gen intel i7, gtx 765m, bluray, etc... for 1299.99
more harddrive space, etc. smaller, more lighter.

only thing asus has going for them is their fan system and the durability i feel (other than this really squeaky bad keyboard).

should i get the msi ge70 or should i just return the asus rog and wait for the asus rog g750?
or maybe samsung to release haswell, gtx700 series laptops?

I bought an Asus g75vw last year, havent had any issues with a squeaky keyboard. Still runs like brand new.

I'd stay away from msi, and look at a newer Asus or a Sager

only newer asus is a g750 and thats too big for me.
idk how big the msi is but i was thinking roughly the size of a g55vw which im using right now to type this.
i had a g75vw when it first came out, like the day it was released last year but returned it due to it having problems too..
hard to find backpacks for these big laptops...
from wat i read up on google, people seemed to have less problems with msi. but im not sure about the build quality.
i might look into just customizing a samsung 7 gamer series..
since samsung is a brand i trust completely.

Old thread, but I honestly wouldn't buy any 15" laptop with an i7, the 17" laptops have much better heat dissipation.

I have a Toshiba X70 that I paid $1,399 for

i7-4700MQ
12 GB DDR3L
GTX 770M

I then spend an additional $230ish for a 256 GB Samsung 840 Pro.

This might explain my overheating Dell craptop. Xps 15, i7, gt540m, 8gbram . 15.6" ofc.

I can't justify 17 inch laptops. Too big to take anywhere apart from your lounge. Ultra book + Pc will be next for me I think.
