Question on War stats

So when in a war does the Defeated opponents while defending stat represent just your troops or all troops at your village?

EX: I send 2000 HC to player A and he gets attacked, does he get the Defeated opponents while defending numbers or is it split between me and him based on who killed what?

Whoever is doing the attacking and whoever is doing the defending gets it, if you are supporting you do not get it
