so I attack with them but I dont see how to tell what a village contains

No.it depends on the ration between the agresor s scouts and the deffendes's.

A certain % of your scouts must survive for detailed report, 67% I think.

The percentage changes on different worlds, some worlds if you get 1 scout past then you see everything, dunno about this world though, can't even test for myself yet, sorry.
