I am aprillovescats of the tribe iPod (newly named, actually the player in World 3 who's tribe is named that suggested that in our tribe).
1) I lead by Dictatorship, Democracy, or Socialism? Explain your position.
I lead by dictatorship, because I feel that the players inside the tribe with less experience won't know what is best for the tribe if I give a poll or multiple answers. Leaders always know what is best and will guide the tribe in the right direction. HOWEVER, I give the tribe a chance to put in input by speaking in mail, giving minor polls, and talking to them by seeing what they like.
2) The ONE thing I look for in a potential recruit is...... (Explain)
I look for someone who is loyal and will stay with the tribe for eternity. For instance, some leaders look for experienced players. Why? This early in the game, you can easily teach the players what is right and wrong. And if that experienced player leaves, then it was all just a waste. If I have to tweak a player's habits, it'll be just as well, if they will keep on fighting for the tribe.
3) I ensure my members have troops by......
I have to assume my player's have troops by seeing how fast they can build (by farming) and if they attack/are attacked and I see their troops, and they have none/little, then that is the time to make adjustments (anything from telling him to make troops to kicking).
4) I think diplomacy is.......
I think diplomacy is the neutral discussion of trying to find what is best for a tribe. For instance, using diplomacy to get an ally, the point is trying to do what is best for the tribe, without screaming, threats, or war-like statements. Otherwise, using threats would be blackmail, and anything aggressive isn't doing what is best by losing yourself.
5) My response to players attacking my players is War, Hugging, or Diplomacy? Explain.
If there is a certain tribe who keeps attacking violently, won't cease when I do diplomacy, then I will declare war. I won't let anything slide.
Usually, first, I will speak to a tribe, and see why they are attacking. From there, I choose one.
Diplomacy is used when they were just trying to do the best for themselves but agreed to stop, then I might mention having a NAP or having the players working together in their area.
I rarely use hugging, but if desperately needed, I'll use it to save the player being attacked.
In other words, at different circumstances, I use all three options to my players being attacked.
