My Method is pretty simple.
I pick a few themes, apply one to each continent my villages are in, and then in groupings, separate the offensive and defensive villages per continent.
IE
My first village name was Smash It
Second was Bash It
then Crash It, Lash It, Splash It, Mash It, etc, etc, all of my k47 villages will follow the same scheme.
Then lets say I move into k46, I'll think of something else.
Then in groupings, instead of having just Off, Def, I'll have k46 Off, K46 Def, K47 Off, K47 Def etc etc

some worlds I have put all names in french, or german,
some I name after the player I nobled,
some I have just added numbers (I have all worlds in number order of them being nobled)
some worlds are combos...

my method is every village in a certain continent or area is named one name but it might help to use numbers.. then to know if its attack or defense i make groups and then i mark them on the map with either a axe or a sword.
