I was talking about the last one losing that many troops on one attack which he didn't clear(with only axes).

I've done several tests with the archer unit.
It is efficient to place at least 200 MA in a nuke, if you hit a wall of purely archers, it'll save you tremendous amounts of troops. It is extremely inefficient not to have MA, and not to use archers as a defensive tool.
1 village full of Archers, against a nuke with no mounted archers, destroys it.
