Can I just say those judging Square on their academy is unbelievable, Academys will mean they get members who shine in the academy and the academy will end up being successful in its own way too, many tribes hate academys but in a world like this where one tribe is way ahead, academy tribes aren't such a bad idea.

Ehhh, I think it's perfectly reasonable. I'd actually say the best way to see players "shine" is by competing against them, not allying and babying them in an academy tribe. If you want to teach players how to play, do it in your own tribe.

Well I thought better of idc members that I have had dealings with on externals .... Maybe the the 24 hr ram attack might scare some ... I love the way somebody days please then throws a spanner in the works by undoing the word please with a negative action .... I could be in and out of that villa way before you could get to him or me... And with idc quite busy at the min I can't see u commuting all your troops on a 2 day plus mission...
As I said I have had good dealings with some of your members externally if u had left it as a message I would of replied in a tone of yea no problem bud with u launching straight after message changes things slightly don't u think...

Oh if you get any of those baboons from ex turk tribe master let me know I reckon they stole Mrs lama and im going through each of there villas at the min..
So why is sweeney not in your tribe if your members are 1 protecting him and 2 sitting him which confuses me as i was told that if i attack him ice cold would defend him yet he is sitting this is not allowed under sitting rules so that leads me to believe either this is not just a sit or just bullying tactics....
Anyway of to look for my Llama seen as though no 1 else is bothered looking for it...

No1 and deserved going by there stats a few ppl have flamed them along the way but that comes with sitting at the top most of there players have handled themselves very well in both forums and battlefield so thumbs up for that .. can they be caught not unless some serious organisation is done by other tribes or bordem sets in...

Decided to do top 20 this time.
1 IDC - Best tribe around right now. They seem to be growing pretty quickly and easily. They have come under criticism lately for their style of recruitment and some of their player's usage of the premium glitch but the arguments against them are poor. From what I've seen on the forums they seem like a surprisingly nice group of people as well. Many of their players use the externals which to me says they are probably very active in game as well. Overall, a solid group that is probably going to dominate for a while.

2 Square - Interesting group. They have an academy tribe which is definitely a negative but they seem to have good players. I'm somewhat torn when it comes to rating them.

4 ~MA~ - Another interesting group. Comparatively low member count and still ranks 4th. Their lineup includes the rank 6 player Yontash who seems pretty good. Might do pretty well or it might just fall apart later on. I have no idea how well the tribe is ran.

14 DGSoWR - Was hit very hard by IDC. Attempts to recover have pretty much failed and inactivity is running rampant. I just so happen to be in this tribe and I think I am the only one growing (albeit slowly). My opinion was high at the start of this world due to the huge response when support was requested and the constant communication. Forums are all but dead now. Perhaps better diplomacy with IDC could have preserved the tribe but a tad too late now. My rating reflects the current state of the tribe.

15 T.G.A. - Don't know too much about them but at first glance I don't think too highly. If they really are teaching newer players then that is great but I am hard-pressed to believe there is actually a good player there to teach the newbies in that tribe.

20 (-A-) - Now this one is the one that made me facepalm. They give EVERY member baron privileges... That is a terrible idea lol. I am currently considering joining them for a brief while so I can show them why that's a bad idea (will keep everyone posted if I do). I also think its kind of stupid that they put a threat in their profile when they are so weak. They could never carry out on their promise of making players "suffer tribulations."

20 (-A-) - Now this one is the one that made me facepalm. They give EVERY member baron privileges... That is a terrible idea lol. I am currently considering joining them for a brief while so I can show them why that's a bad idea (will keep everyone posted if I do).
I also think its kind of stupid that they put a threat in their profile when they are so weak. They could never carry out on their promise of making players "suffer tribulations."-1/10

I understand why people dislike Academy tribes.
I as duke of Square don't approve of it very much. But in a world where competition lacks, and good players are extremely scarce, I think it'd be an okay idea. Seeing as how these players can learn what it's like to coordinate, communicate, and learn techniques fully.
Now, if we were in .net, then I'd never accept an academy.

The fun thing is that especially in small worlds like these, academy tribes work even worse. You see, at .Net worlds, you have all the time to teach your players, and to kick the inactives, etc. But honestly, at .US worlds, by the time you have 'taught' your new players, the world is nearly over already.
